Sweet Nothings

Sweet Home

Fresh orange from a tree in my soon-to-be backyard

With week one of inspections down, buying a house and moving is finally becoming a reality. Sure, there are walls to paint (and even some termites to get rid of) before the husband and I move in March, but this little corner of the earth is already starting to feel like home. I find myself not only imagining how I will decorate every room, but also visualizing how I will live out so many years inside of them. I imagine playing with my dog in the backyard, picking fruit from the many citrus trees around the house, and reading by the creek on lazy weekends (yup, that’s right, there’s a little creek that runs through the hills at the back of the yard). I’ve never felt so childishly giddy yet adult all at once.

Psst: Thank you so much for your support and happy wishes as I embark on this hectic yet exciting adventure. Your sweet thoughts and encouragement have meant so much over the past week! Leave a comment.

Thank you so much for the happy house wishes, Kristina! It is so surreal that we’re getting ready to move into a place that we’ll probably call home for more than a decade. 😉 Much love and sweet wishes to you!
